Graham commits future to Ajax

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have confirmed they have extended the signature of midfielder Travis Graham until June 2017.

The supersport.com website reports that Graham is hoping for a big campaign having missed most of last through injury.

The 21-year-old has recommitted to the club despite interest from Gauteng and says he is excited about the challenge ahead.

"After a long tough season of being injured, I told myself that this season I'm going to work hard,” he said. “So far the pre-season is going quite well, it's nice to be back on the field, trying hard to get my fitness back. My main goal is to make the starting line-up versus Amazulu.

"Being sidelined has affected me mentally. But I think now I have grown wiser and become a stronger character. I look forward to showing this on the field coming season."

Graham made his Ajax debut in August 2012 as a 19-year-old, but managed just three games last season before injury cut his campaign short.
