Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould, who has been out of action for close to six months, is expected to return in the New Year when Amakhosi take on Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Stadium on February 12, 2013.
According to the soccerladuma.co.za website, incidentally, Gould made his Amakhi debut against the Brazilians at the same stadium in the MTN quarter final game, which the Glamour Boys lost 4-1.
Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter told Soccer-Laduma recently that the Bafana Bafana defender has been doing well in his recovery and he will be back in the New Year.
He said the break will also help him recover well and come back ready in the second round.
"I saw him play with the ball and he showed that by the time we start the New Year in February he will be very fine. If all goes well he will be ready by the time we play our first game against Mamelodi Sundowns.
"He has done very well in his recovery and that has helped him a lot. But in his absence the other defenders have also done exceptionally well. But we expect Gould to be ready to play in that game," the former Bafana Bafana coach concluded.
