The Buccaneers just edged past Uganda Revenue Authority with
a 4-3 aggregate success after Saturday's second leg in Kampala finished 2-2.
And, although Pirates headed to Uganda looking to keep a
clean sheet, Gcaba was nonetheless thrilled with the way his side carried
themselves in continental competition.
"We wanted to keep a clean sheet. We wanted to win and
we almost won but even the draw worked for us," Gcaba told Soccer Laduma.
"We had a plan in place and our plan worked. Now we
just have to focus on the next round of the competition and we will keep on
fighting to reach the finals."
Pirates will now look to continue their fine form in the
Absa Premiership when they host Platinum Stars at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday,
Kick-off is at 19:30.
