Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs started the new season with a great comeback win against Maritzburg United in their MTN8 quarter-final on Wednesday and on Sunday will start the defence of their Absa Premiership title against Chippa United.
Last season Chiefs finished off the league with a win against the same opposition, but defender Siboniso Gaxa says that Chippa are a different team this season.
"Chippa have made many good signings this season and we can't judge them by what happened last season or on what we did on Wednesday against Maritzburg United," Gaxa told Sport24.
“This is a different game against a different team.
“They are an attacking side so we have to have a strong defence focused on stopping their attack at all times. It will be an interesting encounter.”
Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs will clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday at 15:00.
