Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa hopes to continue winning trophies with the club after they won their first Premiership title in eight years on Wednesday night.
A 1-1 draw against SuperSport United was enough to hand Chiefs the trophy with one game in hand.
Needing only a point to secure the title heading into the encounter, Lehlohonolo Majoro secured his 10th goal of the season, before second half replacement Sibusiso Zuma scored a late equaliser to draw level.
Nevertheless, the stalemate helped the Amakhosi to 57 points, four ahead of high-flying Platinum Stars, who cannot catch the Soweto outfit in the last round of fixtures which take place over the weekend.
And while Gaxa said they will enjoy this moment but hinted at more success in future.
"Thanks to the fans, but the most important thing, thanks to God. We started this from the beginning of the season. We've been on top, we finished it in style. It's unbelievable, winning the league.
"When I came back a lot of people asked why Chiefs? I said that I am here and I want to play for this team because this team has ambition. In my first interview I said I want to win things for this team and today(Wednesday) I've won the league. We still want more, but let's celebrate this moment, " he told the Soccer Laduma website.
Chiefs close their PSL season against Tuks at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday, before again facing SuperSport in the Nedbank Cup final in Durban on May 25.
