Cape Town - Former AmaZulu midfielder Ruzaigh Gamildien has said that he is hopeful of making a return to the Premiership in January.
The 25-year-old was dismissed by Usuthu last month for disciplinary reasons, having initially been demoted to train with the club’s feeder team.
Gamildien is now keeping fit at the Old Mutual Academy, and while he may be without a club, he insists that he is relieved to no longer be at AmaZulu.
"They are a club faced with bigger challenges than me at the moment so I will rather let them deal with that for now," he told KickOff.
"However, the reality is that in any working environment you need to be happy for you to deliver and it is no different in football.
"I might be the guy who is no longer there but you should ask yourself why they are struggling. I am just glad that I don't have any outstanding issues with them anymore after having to push hard to get my last salary from them."
The ex-Bloemfontein Celtic man is eager to return to the South African top flight and is hoping to secure a move to a Premiership side when the transfer window opens in January.
"I am training with Old Mutual for now. Hopefully, by next month I will be already training with whatever team that I am supposed to play for in January," he added.
