Gabuza hopeful of another Zamalek thrashing

Cape Town - Thamsanqa Gabuza has returned from international duty and is with the Pirates squad in Mpumalanga where he says the team is gearing up to whip Zamalek once again.

Gabuza has been in good form of late which has seen him grab goals for both Pirates and Bafana and he told Sport24 that he is ready to go again this weekend.

“I’m one-hundred percent because I have two season where I hardly even played at Orlando Pirates so when I am given the opportunity I must grab it with both hands,” the striker said.

“When they come here at home they must know that last time we beat them 4-1.

“Unfortunately I was not involved then [in 2013] because I was not registered for CAF competitions.

Gabuza hopes that his form and fitness will see him considered for the starting XI by coach Eric Tinkler.

“I am hoping I will start the match, I am one-hundred percent fit.”
