Cape Town - Dean Furman would only be interested in joining SuperSport United should the midfielder move to the PSL, according to his agent Glyn Binkin.
The 26-year-old Furman is a free agent after leaving English side Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.
Furman is set to reject offers from some of the local heavyweights and become a Matsatsantsa player after CEO Stan Matthews reportedly put a substantial deal on the table.
"SuperSport United have always shown serious interest and intent in signing Dean. This interest started around three years ago when Stan Matthews flew to the UK and met with Dean and his family in an effort to try sign him for the club already then," Binkin told Soccer Laduma.
"Stan once again showed his interest and commitment in Dean playing for Supersport United if he were to come to South Africa, and Dean has given him his word that if South Africa was an option he were to consider, that SuperSport United would be the only destination for him.
"Added to this is the fact that Gordon Igesund is the coach who gave him his first Bafana cap..."
