Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Dean Furman is hopeful the side can make up for their heavy loss to Kaizer Chiefs when they take on Bidvest Wits on Tuesday.
Matsatsantsa were handed their first defeat of the Premiership season last week after slumping to a 4-1 loss at home against the Glamour Boys, with the result leaving United eighth in the standings and four points off the pace at the top.
Gordon Igesund's men are next in action against title hopefuls Wits at the Bidvest Stadium in midweek, and Furman, who is suspended after being sent off against the Glamour Boys, is hopeful the Tshwane giants can find a big response against the Students.
"It's a tough game. We know Wits are a top team; we know they'll be looking for a successful season, as are we, so it's important that we come off the back of a defeat and hopefully get a more positive result against them," said Furman.
"(The defeat to Chiefs) was massively disappointing, but one of the great things about football is that you lose one game and the next game is a chance to put everything right.
"I'm suspended, which is disappointing for me, but I know the team's been working very hard in training this past week on our match preparation and everyone's looking forward to the game."
