Cape Town - Platinum Stars head coach Allan Freese says that his job is
reportedly always under threat, even if it is just talk in the media.
Rumours were circulating last week that Freese could be sacked in the near future if his side's fortunes didn't improve, with Dikwena having collected just two points from their last six league matches.
However, the Rustenburg outfit claimed a shock victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout on Sunday, easing some of the pressure on Freese, who was delighted to have the last laugh over his detractors.
"My job is under threat every day, but the person that was happy that my job was under threat is unlucky now," the 58-year-old has been quoted as saying.
"I hope you are very disappointed.
"I didn’t have any indications [of job being under threat], maybe you [media] have inside information that I don’t have.
"Maybe you are the first guys to know who will get fired or who is about to get fired, but I cannot do anything about that. I have always been doing my job the same way I have always done it and I will continue doing so."
Dikwena are currently lying in 13th place in the Premiership standings with eight points from their opening nine matches.
