Cape Town - Keegan Jacobs, who has starred for Livingston in the Scottish Championship for the past few years, is currently on trial with PSL side, Bidvest Wits.
The 25-year-old midfielder, the eldest of four brothers who have all played for Livingston, is hoping to impress Gavin Hunt and secure a contract, and if successful, it will be the first time the Johannesburg-born player plays in the country of his birth.
Jacobs, who has spent most of his life in Scotland, came through Livingston’s youth set-up and was an integral member of the team that won both the third and second division titles as they rose back to the Championship five seasons ago.
The midfielder, known for his high work-rate, scored on his debut for the club eight years ago and went on to play almost 200 games for them.
This past season he had 32 starts for the club, scoring once.
Famously in 2010, he and his three brothers, Kyle (who has also just left Livingston), Sheldon and Devon, all played for Livingston in a Scottish Third Division game, believed to be the only time four brothers have played in the same team in a professional game.
Jacobs is still eligible to play for Bafana Bafana and earlier this year said that he would love to play for the national team.
