Esrom delighted with 'Downs effort

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder and veteran Esrom Nyandoro praised his team for playing well on Saturday, August 22 against Bidvest Wits.

Nyandoro said it was a great confidence boost for them to beat The Clever Boys and hopes they will carry on with this style of play as the season progresses.

“I am impressed with the team. They did very well, because this is what they were looking for especially with how they started the season,” Esrom told Sport24.

“It’s a great confidence boost especially against such a strong team such Bidvest Wits.

“I can only hope that the team carries on like this because they proved that they are still the team they have always been; and that every team can go through a rough patch.

“Malajila’s comeback was the highlight for me, this is one quality player and he showed us something else and the way he was scoring goals was the cherry on top.

“He is the player to beat and I think a few can learn from him.

“There is always room for improvement but overall I am glad the team managed to settle that win.

“I trust they will do even better as the season progresses,” he concluded.

Mamelodi Sundowns settled a 4-2 win against Bidvest Wits on Saturday, August 22 at the Lucas Moripe stadium.
