Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has brushed aside unsubstantiated reports that he is set to be shown the door at Naturena at the end of the season.
The Turkish-born mentor said that he is not worried about these reports.
Ertugral has been under pressure from a section of Amakhosi fans due to the team’s inconsistent results of late.
The fans also pressurised him into taking off Venezuelan striker Jose Torrealba in the 70th minute during the Nedbank Cup game against Free State Stars at Super Stadium on Sunday.
Following a barrage of booing from club fans, Ertugral got up from the bench and turned to face the fans and indicated that they should calm down.
Ertugral’s love-hate relationship with Kaizer Chiefs fans was aggravated by the presence of former club coach Jeff Butler at Super Stadium on Sunday.
The former Ajax Cape Town mentor said he was not feeling any pressure in his job despite speculation that his days at Naturena are numbered.
“This is all mere speculation. At this moment I am concentrating on both the Nedbank Cup and the League games and will only think about my future at Chiefs at the end of the season,” he adds.
