Ertugral lauds mental strength

Cape Town - MP Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral has hailed his side's mental fortitude after extending their unbeaten Absa Premiership.

Aces grabbed their third victory of the season with a 2-1 success over Abafana Bes'thende at King Zwelithini Stadium on Tuesday evening, with a brace from in-form striker Collins Mbesuma securing the come-from behind victory for AmaZayoni after Deon Hotto had opened the scoring for Arrows.

"The commitment was fantastic and the boys were committed and they wanted to achieve and that what makes me happy," Ertugral told KickOff.

"We worked a lot on what will happen when we lose the ball and are going backwards. And against Pirates, going backwards, they will punish you.

"It is what we have spoken about and that goal came and we knew about that. When Denis Masina came in I could see that we had the game because he's the player that stays on the ball and can see what is happening around him."

With 11 points from five games, Aces are among the front-runners on the table and sit joint-second with Platinum Stars, only one point behind league leaders Bidvest Wits.
