Erasmus: Can't compare past results

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus reveals that the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs is “a whole different ball game”.

The buccaneers suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Golden Arrows in a midweek PSL clash.

Erasmus deems that one can’t compare past results leading into an encounter as especially a Soweto derby.

“The derby is a whole different ball game, I think,” Erasmus tells KickOff.

“You can’t compare it to past results or past performances. It’s a whole new game and it’s all down to whose day it is.

“If it’s your day, it’s your day. No matter who you play for, Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs, if it’s meant to go your way then nothing will stand in your way.

“I think if your first touch on the ball is good then things could go your way, but at the end of the day it’s what you make of it.”
