Efstathiou: Dolly is our player

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are big names in the PSL and one of them are itching to land Ajax Cape Town’s Keagan Dolly.

It is believed that Sundowns’ and Orlando Pirates are raising their interest with the Brazilians having the best chance of landing the 21-year-old.

Winning the Absa Premiership Young Player of the Season following an impressive year with the Urban Warriors, according to Soccer Laduma Dolly is open to a move to any club in the PSL.

The Cape Town club’s CEO, Ari Efstathiou, is adamant that Dolly is their player and knows of the various rumours of a possible move to another PSL club.

“Yes we have received lots of interest for him from many clubs but he is staying for now,” Efstathiou tells Kickoff.com.

“I’m well aware that the season will start in a few weeks and our stance is still the same. Dolly is our player.”

While Ajax Cape Town ended their pre-season campaign with a 7-0 win at the NMMU Campus Saasveld, George Akpabio scored thrice, Ziyaad Eksteen notched up a double while Nathan Paulse and Dolly also added their names to the score sheet.

The squad of Roger de Sa won all their matches over the last six days and will return to Cape Town.

Training will resume on Thursday as the team start preparing for the Cape Town Soccer Challenge, which is scheduled to kick-off on Friday July 25.

Ajax, Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and Chippa United all partake in the pre-season tournament.
