Ea Lla Koto to release Bester?

Cape Town - Free State Stars are preparing to offload striker Rudolf Bester before the start of the new season, to make the way for new players.

The Namibian-born forward, who also played for Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates, has struggled for game time with the Free State-based team.

A source at Ea Lla Koto told Sport24 that Bester is among the players to be released by the team before the start of the season.

“He is no longer in the plans of the coach and he will be released before the start of the season,” the source said.

“The technical team and management have been busy negotiating to bring new players for the new season.”

He said the striker department is the one that the technical team is focusing on.

“This team showed a lot of potential last season after a poor start to the campaign, and now management is looking for new players to make it strong,” said the source.

“Competition is getting tough in the PSL, and we no longer want to see this team fighting for relegation,” he added.
