Ea Lla Koto looking to redeem themselves

Cape Town - Free State Stars midfielder Katlego Mashego is confident his team will be able to give Kaizer Chiefs a run for their money when the two sides clash.

Mashego, who was voted Free State Stars player of the season, says Ea Lla Koto should aim high this season after playing for survival over the last two campaigns.

“It’s a chance to redeem ourselves after losing the first match to Mpumalanga Black Aces,” Mashego told Sport24.

“I think we learned the hard way after that defeat to Aces where we squandered a lot of goal scoring chances.

“We will have to be disciplined and clinical because Chiefs is a quality team and cannot afford to waste any chances we get on that day.

“We work hard as a team and I’m hoping the hard work will pay by at least finishing among the top five teams this season.

"A top five position and maybe winning a trophy is what I feel will be a good reward for our hard work, but to do that we must win matches."
