Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are desperate to hold onto their PSL title as they seek to bolster up their defence in order to see it happen.
According to Goal, the Brazilians are looking at signing Zimbabwean defender Ocean Mushure.
Mushure plays for Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League champions Dynamos - Sundowns are seeking someone to challenge Tebogo Langerman for a first team place at left-back.
The 29-year-old has impressed Sundowns team manager, Peter Dlovu, who is a former ‘Downs player and Zimbabwean international.
Dynamos have confirmed that Sundowns have shown interest but they are not willing to wait long - Dynamos want to tie down the defender and hand him a new contract.
“However, I can confirm that it’s running out at the end of the year and should Sundowns not come back for him. We will sit down with him and try to extend it as we have set ourselves a September 30 deadline to finalise our 2015 squad,” Dynamos secretary-general Webster Chikengezha said.
In the meantime Sundowns will face Maritzburg United in their first PSL encounter on Friday, August 8 at 20:00.
