Johannesburg - Joel Masilela says that Platinum Stars will prove no obstacle for title chasing Mamelodi Sundowns when the two sides meet in an Absa Premiership clash at the Super Stadium on Wednesday night.
“We know there are no easy games anymore, but I don’t think Platinum Stars will be a problem for Sundowns. Sundowns didn’t play that well against Bloemfontein Celtic, but they showed a vast improvement against Ajax Cape Town and this is a sign that they are getting close to top gear again,” said the Sundowns legend.
Masilela also feels the return to action of Surprise Moriri would benefit the club a great deal, as the attacking midfielder would also assist striker Katlego Mphela in the goalscoring department.
“Moriri’s return is a blessing. Mphela alone upfront is wearing the striker down, but now that Surprise is back, it will lift a weight off his shoulders because now he does not have to do it all. I can’t miss a single game from now on, these are exciting times,” he added.
