Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns will look to continue their push for the PSL title when they host Polokwane City at Loftus Stadium.

Sundowns returned to winning form in the league with a 2-0 victory at Free State Stars.

The Tshwane side has claimed 18 points from nine home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Chippa United (home), Black Aces (away) and Bloemfontein Celtic (home).

The Brazilians are placed second on the Absa Premiership log with 40 points from 21 matches.

Polokwane played to their second league draw in 2015 when they were held 1-1 at Chippa United last week.

The Limpopo side has claimed 15 points from 11 away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bloemfontein Celtic, Bidvest Wits (both home) and AmaZulu (away).

Rise and Shine are placed eighth on the log with 29 points from 21 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Sundowns and Polokwane have met in three league matches.

The Brazilians have claimed two wins compared to one for Rise and Shine.

Sundowns’ only previous home match against Polokwane City was a 1-0 win in the second half of last season.

When the teams met earlier this season, goals from Malajila, Zwane and Modise took the Brazilians to a 3-0 away win.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, March 11.
