Downs deny Mosimane link

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns have denied reports claiming they are considering sacking Johan Neeskens, stating the club are happy with their development under the Dutch coach.

Reports this week have suggested the Brazilians could be looking to bring recently fired Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane to Chloorkop following a trophyless season under Neeskens.

However, Sundowns' senior legal and commercial manager Yogesh Singh has dismissed those claims, and says the Tshwane giants are not considering a new coach for next term.

"Johan Neeskens has a contract with the club, and we are happy with him," Singh told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, Downs also denied reports claiming they have agreed a deal with Zambian midfielder Rainford Kalaba, stating that any new players will be announced through official channels.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
