'Downs demands delay Moon exit

Cape Town - The representative of Bryce Moon says his client's departure from Mamelodi Sundowns is being delayed by the club's insistence on receiving a transfer fee.

The utility player is out of favour at Downs and is available for transfer ahead of the new Premiership campaign, which kicks off on the weekend of 8-9 August.

Several clubs have expressed an interest in acquiring the services of the former Bafana Bafana international, although they appear unwilling to pay a transfer fee.

Moon's representative, Prosport International CEO Mike Makaab, told goal.com: "There is PSL interest for the player and several clubs have been in contact with me about him, but the difficult part is that Sundowns is demanding a fee for the player.

"Despite all this, we are weighing options to find a team for Moon and will see what happens in the next three weeks,"

Moon, 29, spent last season on loan at Platinum Stars and has not yet featured under Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane in pre-season.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
