Double figure stay for Moriri

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly agreed a new two-year contract extension with Surprise Moriri, a deal which will take the midfielder's stay in Chloorkop to over a decade.

The 32-year-old joined the Brazilians from Silver Stars in 2004, and has since made 191 starts for the club, scoring 67 goals along the way.

Those strikes helped Sundowns to two PSL crowns and two cup titles, and the playmaker is set to continue his long stay at the club after penning a new agreement this week.

The deal is one of several the club have completed so far in the off-season, with Teko Modise and Katlego Mphela also having been offered extensions on their respective deals at the club.

Other players to have re-signed with Downs are Siyabonga Ngubane, Jabulani Shongwe and Themba Zwane, while loaned out duo Buhle Mkwanazi and Jackson Mabogwane have also agreed new terms.
