Chiefs door open for Khune, Masango?

Cape Town - The door for Itumeleng Khune and Mandla Masango at Kaizer Chiefs is open but only slightly.

Team manager Bobby Motaung confirmed on Tuesday that there had been contact with the pair as recently as Monday, but there was no indication as to whether or not a last-minute resolution could be found between the players and the club.

The contracts of Khune, Masango and Tefu Mashamaite expire at the end of June, and up until now there has been no indication of any new agreements being reached.

Mashamaite has been strongly linked with a move to PSL rivals Mamelodi Sundowns but Masango and Khune’s futures are still uncertain.

"Itu Khune and Mandla Masango came yesterday. Both players are still not sure of what they want," said Motaung.

"We had a heart to heart chat and it's only fair for them to take time off. When they are ready and they know what they want, they can come and talk to us."
