Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly admitted he did not have the best season on loan with Ajax Cape Town last term and is looking to improve this campaign.
The 22-year-old playmaker was a sensation for the Urban Warriors in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons, resulting in Sundowns seeking out and securing his services.
Both the Brazilians and the player decided regular first-team football would be best for his development, so the player was loaned back to the Cape outfit for last season immediately after his purchase.
Dolly was far less impressive for Ajax last season, but has begun this campaign well back in Pretoria and is confident he can regain the form that convinced Sundowns to purchase him.
"I agree with what people say. I haven't had one of the best seasons," he told Soccer Laduma.
"However, we need to also take into account that I was injured. I was out for about eight weeks and that may have hindered my progress and it was a setback for me.
"When I came back, my confidence was low and obviously I had to take it one game at a time to regain it. I must say my spell with the U23s has helped me regain my confidence," Dolly concluded.
