Cape Town - Platinum Stars have exercised the two-year option in Robert Ng'ambi's contract, Dikwena boss Ratanang Nke confirmed on Tuesday.
READ: Freese must buy and sell.
The Malawi international's current deal with the Rustenburg giants was set to expire in June of this year, leading to claims he could make a move to either Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns or SuperSport United.
However, Dinaledi have now managed to tie the playmaker down until 2017, with Nke confirming the deal this week, before adding that the club's fans can expect "more exciting news" shortly.
"The player is staying with us. We have exercised the option," Nke told Kick Off.
"We had a few issues with other players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season.
"But I want to assure our supporters that we are doing our utmost best to keep our talent in the team.
"There is more exciting news to be announced soon for our supporters."
