De Villiers congratulates Cosmos

Cape Town - Premier Soccer League Chief Executive, Brand de Villiers has congratulated 2014/15 Promotion Play-off winners, Jomo Cosmos.

Jomo Cosmos were promoted to the Absa Premiership for the 2015/16 season which will kick-off in August 2015.

This follows their 1-0 victory against Moroka Swallows at the Dobsonville Stadium last night, 03 June 2015.

The results meant that Jomo Cosmos finish on seven points – same with second-placed Black Leopards. However, Jomo Cosmos enjoy a superior goal difference.

Moroka Swallows, who were relegated to the National First Division on Sunday afternoon, finished at the foot of the log with three points.

“On behalf of the League, we would like to congratulate Jomo Cosmos management, coaching staff, the players and the fans for bouncing back to the Premier Division following a very excited and competitive season in the NFD and equally thrilling campaign in the Promotion Play-offs,” said De Villiers.

“In the next couple of weeks, we will do our best to offer support to them as we prepare them for the 2015/16 Absa Premiership season. We wish them all the best.”
