De Sa won't sell Mobara

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town head coach Roger De Sa has insisted defender Abbubaker Mobara is not for sale following the player's admission he would be open to a move.

The 21-year-old was a key component in Ajax Cape Town's push to a fifth-place finish last season and has reportedly been attracting interest from clubs both locally and overseas.

The defender admitted last week that he would be open to a move abroad or to a bigger South African club, but De Sa insists no bids have been received as yet.

"There has not been inquiries. I don't know where the story comes from," he told KickOff.

"I don't think any club in the country can afford him anyway."

The Mozambican manager is happy with the current balance of the squad and does not want to risk upsetting it by selling one of his best players.

"I'm happy because we've still got guys like Nathan Paulse, Travis Graham, Mobara.

"With one or two acquisition we will be okay and probably better than last season I hope."
