Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa said Wednesday’s Premiership
fixture against Moroka Swallows would present the ideal opportunity for
his club to collect maximum points.
Ajax are currently second in the Absa Premiership standings, just nine points behind Kaizer Chiefs.
De Sa previously told Football411 that the club had already exceeded expectations this season and feels that tremendous inroads can be made during the course of this week.
For De Sa, the glaring statistic ahead of the trip to the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday is that of the goals conceded by Moroka Swallows this season. The Swallows defence has been breached 23 times this term and there are no immediate indications that the club will be able to stem the tide. De Sa wants his players to exploit that.
"They have exciting players who attack very well, but they also leak a lot of goals at the back," De Sa told journalists.
For De Sa and his Ajax, the script has been quite different in that they have conceded just ten goals this season.
"We’ve kept two clean sheets in a row now, so we need to continue with that and try to get some more goals. We’ve improved the areas we needed to, so we have to keep building and keep improving," added De Sa.
