De Sa still values Davids

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa said experienced midfielder Lance Davids still featured in his Premiership plans this season, adding that there was absolutely no intention to part ways with him during the transfer window.

There has been speculation about a possible loan deal, which would help Ajax secure the services of additional players for the remainder of the campaign. However, De Sa has subsequently sought to nip those rumours in the bud.

"Davids will be staying with us," De Sa told KickOff.

Throughout this campaign, De Sa has highlighted the fact that he has a young squad at his disposal, adding that they had all exceeded expectations this term.

Despite what they have managed to achieve during the first half of the Premiership campaign, De Sa does feel that many of his young players still need guidance and that Davids is the man to offer that guidance.

"We need him for his experience and he is doing well by guiding the younger players who are coming through.

"He still has a contract with Ajax Cape Town and it is not my intention for him to leave during the transfer window," added De Sa.
