Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town head coach Roger De Sa has heaped praise on striker Nathan Paulse, despite his lack of goals this season.

The 33-year-old has only managed four goals in all competitions this term, but De Sa is adamant Paulse offers far more than goals on the pitch.

"Nathan's contribution is immense to the team," De Sa told KickOff.

"The work that he does on both ends of the field is massive.

"When you play against Nathan, you start to realise his value more than when you play with him.”

De Sa added that Paulse is a fantastic mentor to the younger players in the squad, such as to top-scorer Tashreeq Morris.

The former Orlando Pirates coach reveals that young striker is almost emulating the veteran's playing style which has seen him scored nine goals in all competitions.
