De Sa happy with progress

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa is pleased with the progress the club has made since taking charge in February last year.

De Sa guided the Urban Warriors to a fifth-place finish in the Premiership last season, as well as to the Nedbank Cup final. The Mozambican coach followed it up by claiming his first piece of silverware at the club by beating Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 final last month.

"We are improving as a team. We are moving in the right direction and this is good for the team," De Sa told Soccer Laduma.

"We know after winning the MTN 8 there will be pressure on us but I think we have done well so far, looking at the two games we played against Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.

"We would have liked to win both of them but the point we got was good. We just have to keep on playing like this then things will be okay for us this season."
