De Sa expects tough game

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa admits that they are definitely expecting a tough game against Maritzburg United on Saturday, August 22.

De Sa reveals that although they had a very tough game against Bidvest Wits last weekend in a MTN8 clash, they are looking to keep a positive spirit and play to the best of the ability because they know what to expect from The Team of Choice.

“This is the first home league game of the season. We did very well last season; I think we only lost one game against Chiefs,” he said at the press conference in Cape Town.

“We are going to try and maintain our games. Last season we drew against Maritzburg and we are definitely expecting a tough game because they are such an organized team.

“I have watched them against Cosmos and Chiefs and they obviously have high expectations and goals and so forth.

“We have come out of a tough round against Wits and now we have to shift our focus and try and get some points.

“I don’t think much has changed with the coach because he was the assistant last season. We expect something similar that we are used to.

“Hopefully we get more than one point.

“There are quite a few injured. Nathan Paulse is now training to play for the squad; Travis is in place of Scott’s injury; it’s very much of concern but where a door closes for another, another opens. We will just have to wait and see."

Kick-off is at 20:15.
