Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa is pleased with the signings secured by the Premiership club ahead of the new campaign.

The Urban Warriors have drafted in two exciting players, with Ajax youth product Ndiviwe Mdabuka returning to the club from National First Division outfit Vasco Da Gama, while midfielder Ruzaigh Gamildien has been signed from Milano United, also of the NFD.

Commenting on his new signings, De Sa told Football411: "I've watched 'Diva' play since the beginning of the year. They [Vasco] played a few friendlies against us and he impressed me a lot.

"I see him as a very, very good anchor midfielder who recovers the ball very well and is very fit.

"I think he'll work for us because he is much disciplined, I think he will just sit in front of the back four and allow others to play, so he is someone that will contribute a lot to us.

"Gamildien is a special player and I know he's had some bad publicity and a lot of people are talking about how AmaZulu got rid of him and so on.

"But I've had a couple of conversations with him, watched him play, and I think he will come back to his best.

"He was in the national team two years ago and I think he will come back to his best, hopefully he does it playing for us."

De Sa is also running the rule over striker Marvin Honer, who has linked up with the squad on a trial basis from Ajax Amsterdam. The 20-year-old has been recommened to the club by Ajax Amsterdam's director of football, Mark Overmars.

"Honer has got to adapt first, he's a youngster and has only been with us for two days," De Sa revealed.

"Obviously he is a quality player, he comes from Ajax Amsterdam, so he's got to adapt first. He's 20-years-old so he's a youngster.

"But he's got good qualities, he's got good vision, he can finish. He scores goals and things like that but he's only 20-years-old and he's a young boy.

"He's also having a look at life in Cape Town and looking at the local league to see if this is the place he wants to be or go back to Europe, because he has got that option.

"So we're both looking at each other and weighing up options, but so far he has impressed."
