De Sa: We want to do well in Africa

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa says that he wants to make sure that the young team that he has is ready for the CAF Confederation Cup in January.

The squad, which is predominantly made up of players who were developed at the club, qualified for the MTN8 final after seeing off Bidvest Wits.

De Sa reveals that he knows that he has a small squad of only 21 players but that doesn't mean that they can't compete.

"We want to do well in Africa," De Sa said.

"We have a young squad but the players in the team are ready for the challenge.

"I know it's not easy to play in Africa but if we prepare well then we can do well.

"I agree we have a young squad both in age and numbers but we have the fighting spirit which will help us do well in the African tournament."
