De Sa: No home advantage

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa believes his side have lost the advantage of playing at home as they prepare to face Bidvest Wits in Stellenbosch, and not the Mother City.

The Urban Warriors usually play their matches at either the Cape Town Stadium or Athlone Stadium, but with both venues already booked, this weekend's MTN8 semi-final first-leg tie will take place at the Coetzenburg Stadium.

"It's more of a neutral venue now," De Sa told his club's website.

"Coetzenburg is a small field, but both teams play on the same field."

Ajax will also be out for revenge, having lost to the Students in their opening fixture of the Absa Premiership campaign last weekend, although De Sa feels both sides are evenly matched, setting up a thrilling cup clash.

"I think we know pretty much their style of play and the quality of their players," De Sa said.

"I think they also know our players. There are no real secrets. It’s just about getting out there and doing the best you can on the day."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
