De Sa: FS Stars play like Wits

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa said that he knows Free State Stars will be physical and direct on the field ahead of their clash later tonight, August 26.

De Sa said that Free State Stars play a type of football they don’t enjoy playing and compared their style of play to that of Bidvest Wits as they are also labelled a physical team.

The Urban Warriors mentor stressed that it will be a tough match and hopes to get in players; Aidan Jenniker, Ndiviwe Mdabuka, Mosa Lebusa, and Nathan Paulse to strengthen the squad ahead of the match.

"We know Free State Stars will be physical and direct,” he said at the press conference.

"They play a type of football we don’t enjoy to play obviously; they are just like Wits always taking physical to the next level.

"It is going to be tough that’s for sure.

"This is the chance to get Nathan in, hoping Divha will be okay too and hopefully Aidan Jenniker is in form too and there’s a chance that Mosa might come back in.

"There are one or two guys we are going to get into the squad and hope that will help us a bit going into this match."

The Urban Warriors will play against Free State Stars on Wednesday, August 26 at Cape Town Stadium.

Kick-off set for 19:30.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
