Davids Close To Ajax Deal

accreditation

Ajax Cape Town have revealed that they are in the final stages of tying down midfielder, Lance Davids, as they look towards next season.

The 28-year-old played an important role in helping the club survive relegation to the NFD last season and it has long been reported that the Urban Warriors were eager to keep him on board ahead of their 2013/2014 campaign.

Now, the club’s official website has released a statement saying, “Ajax Cape Town can confirm that the club is in the closing stages of finalising the contract of Lance Davids.”

The statement also included a quote from their CEO, George Comitis, who explained that the terms of the deal had been finalised, but that it just needed to be approved now.

Comitis said, “The club has finalised negotiations with Lance Davids and his agent. We are waiting for board approval to formalise the deal.”

Soccer-Laduma reported last month that Davids wasn’t happy with the contract that had been put on the table by the club, although it seems that these issues have now been ironed out.
