Davids: Bucs are going down

Durban - Fadlu Davids says Maritzburg United are determined to upset Orlando Pirates in Wednesday's Premiership clash at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Pirates, domestic treble winners last season, have yet to drop points in the new campaign, defeating Black Leopards (2-0) and Platinum Stars (1-0) in their respective league openers.

United are also unbeaten after recording creditable draws with Bidvest Wits (2-2) and Ajax Cape Town (1-1).

And Davids, the Team of Choice skipper, insists his team can gain their first win at Bucs' expense.

"We intend on spoiling their party. We want to stop them in their tracks," he told the Sowetan.

"The new players like Wayne Matle and Prince Olomu are settling in very well and we are confident of getting our first win."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
