According to KickOff, d’Avray says that all the speculation about him being sacked as head coach was true.
"Yes, it's true I am no longer the coach," D'Avray said.
"I was the caretaker coach anyway. The right person to speak to is the chairman [Siviwe Mpengesi]."
The Chilli Boys now find themselves in a difficult position as they slipped to 14th position on the Premiership standings with Swallows snaking in on a two point gap in 15th place.
It will be a tough last two matches for the Eastern Cape side as they travel to Nelspruit to tackle Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Chippa then return home for a tricky bout against PSL champions Kaizer Chiefs and will hope that Stuart Baxter fields a second string team in order for United to taste PSL football next season, if they were to overcome Amakhosi.
However, if AmaZulu and Swallows were to lose their remaining games then Chippa will remain in top flight football.
