Johannesburg - Following their promotion to top flight football, Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono has confirmed that Ezinkosi will play all their home games at Parys stadium in the Free State.
The “Black Prince of Soweto” said there are too many Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams in the Gauteng province and his main target is to get a massive support base from people of the Vaal area as they have been backing his charges throughout the National First Division (NFD) campaign last season.
Sono believes that support from the Vaal and Parys will help his team do well in the 2015/16 ABSA Premiership campaign set to commence in August.
“We’ll be playing all our home games at the Parys stadium in the Free State,” confirmed Sono.
“To be honest with you, there are too many teams in Gauteng and as you saw during our last two playoffs games that the Vaal stadium was always fully packed.
“I think that if we go to Parys we’ll have our own following there and a huge support base from people from the Vaal and Parys.
“It’s not far from Vaal to Parys it is about 15 minutes’ drive.
“Vaal doesn’t have a stadium which can accumulate the PSL at the moment so we thought that the best stadium around there would be Parys.
“Our main target is the Vaal and Parys supporters and they have been with us throughout the NFD campaign, so they deserve to have soccer games in their area.”
