Cosmos striker calls for focus

Vereeniging - Ahead of their crucial clash against Black Leopards, Jomo Cosmos striker Brice Aka is urging his team-mates to remain focused despite coming off an impressive 4-1 win over Moroka Swallows last Sunday.

Ezinkosi and Lidoda Duvha will lock horns in the PSL and NFD relegation/promotion playoffs at Vaal University of Technology stadium on Wednesday.

The Ivorian international goal poacher said their main focus is to go all the way and clinch an Absa Premiership spot for next season and they intend to keep the winning momentum going.

The 31-year-old target man also hinted that Ezinkosi will be banking on their supporters for a morale booster as was the case against Swallows.

“We are very happy that we are all tied at the moment,” said Aka.

“We wanted to bounce back after losing our first game against Leopards.

“Now we won against Swallows but we haven’t achieved anything yet, because our goal is to go all the way to the PSL next season, so we have to remain calm and focused.

“And then do what is possible to go to the Premiership in the coming season.

“And I believe that our supporters will give us a morale boost when we play against Leopards.”

The much anticipated encounter will commence at 15:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
