Cosmos ready for Leopards

Vereeniging - Ahead of their crucial clash against Black Leopards on Wednesday, Jomo Cosmos coach Jomo Sono says his charges are ready to take on the Thohoyandou-based outfit.

Ezinkosi will lock horns against Lidoda Duvha in the PSL and NFD relegation/promotion playoffs encounter at Vaal University of Technology stadium.

The “Black Prince of Soweto” believes his team will be more motivated by their supporters who are most likely to fill up the stadium to its capacity.

Sono, 59, also hinted that they have put their impressive 4-1 win over Moroka Swallows behind them.

“We just want to forget about the last game now and start planning for Leopards,” said Sono.

“We have our supporters behind us and they will be our pillar of strength.

“And my players will play for them and they will be motivated by their support.

“These players want to play against Leopards and we are ready to play against them.

“Our players don’t want to beat Leopards but they just want to play against Leopards.

“And now we are ready for any outcome of the game, it’s not going to be easy for us.

“But we are ready to play and definitely our supporters will be here to rally behind us.”

A win for either of the two teams would send them to the top of the mini-log table as all three teams are currently tied on three points with only two games played.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
