Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos captain Thabang Monare says their focus next season will be to stay in the Premiership after fighting tooth and nail to earn promotion in the first place.
Ezenkosi will return to the Premiership after seeing off Moroka Swallows 1-0 in the final PSL playoff clash, edging both the Dube Birds and Black Leopards in the mini-league standings to gain promotion from the National First Division.
A team like Cosmos knows all the perks of being in the top flight, having bounced between South Africa's top-two divisions over recent years, and as the team resumes pre-season training this week, they will be hoping for a prolonged stay in the country's premier division.
Speaking to Football411 in an exclusive interview, 26-year old skipper Monare, who hails from Embalenhle in Mpumalanga, said: "We are starting training today in a hope of remaining for another season, because it will be difficult to try and compete for silverware.
"All we need is to maintain our status for another season and that would be much better. From there we see what happens."
