Cosmos clinched promotion to South Africa's top flight last month after winning the PSL playoffs against Moroka Swallows and Black Leopards.
It was a surprise move for the club to make the 15 000-seater their home, having previously hosted their matches at the Rand Stadium, Makhulong Stadium and Isak Steyl Stadium.
Club owner and coach Jomo Sono was excited about their climb up to the PSL.
“The pitch is not ready,” said Sono as quoted by KickOff.
“They are going to re-do the whole pitch and put in a new turf.
“It will be ready before our first match on the 15th of August.”
