The Chilli Boys’ miseries continued when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Buccaneers thanks to Mpho Makola and Sifiso Myeni first half strikes.

The Upington-born defender hinted that a defeat will not break their confidence andthey will remain optimistic as a team in order to bring their winless streak to an end.

“This is a disappointing result for us, but it was a very tough game for us,” said Cloete.

“But I think we were not playing good enough in the first half but we came back a little bit stronger in the second half.

“I think we just failed to create enough chances but we don’t have to drop our heads now.

“Every game is tough, we just have to stay positive and get out of this situation we find ourselves in.”

A loss for Chippa resulted in them moving to the 11th spot on the log.

They will play their next game against the rejuvenated AmaZulu at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Friday.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00.
