Chippa to name new boss

Cape Town - Chippa United are set to announce a new coach on Friday with owner, Chippa Mpengezi, telling Sport24 that he will make announcement in a press conference set for end of the week.

Mpengesi said that his new signings as well as plans for the new campaign will be revealed in a press briefing on Friday.

“I cannot say a lot about who is going and staying, but all changes to the team and technical staff will be announced on Friday,” Mpengezi told Sport24.

“We are working on new developments at the club and will soon reveal them."

The club last season parted ways with a number of high profile coaches including Ernst Middendorp following a poor run that saw the team in danger of relegation.

Roger Sikhakhane is reported to be on his way back to the club and could be announced as the new coach.

The Chili Boys also recently parted ways with Manager Peter Koutroulis.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
