Cape Town - 2014/15 Premier Soccer League (PSL) newcomers, Chippa United, have completed the signing of Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda from Orlando Pirates, according to the KickOff website.
The Chilli Boys, who will play their football out of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth this season, will be thrilled to have bolstered their goalkeeping depth with the acquisition of the 29-year-old Dauda who played a pivotal role for Ghana at the recently concluded Soccer World Cup in Brazil.
However, Dauda endured a frustrating time at Mayfair where he played second fiddle to Senzo Meyiwa.
In addition, the Buccaneers recently signed ex-AmaZulu 'keeper Philani Zikalala which proved to be the final straw for the want-away goal minder.
Dauda is believed to have signed a two-year contract at Chippa United who open their PSL campaign against Platinum Stars on Saturday, August 9 at 18:00 in the Friendly City.
