Chippa: Pirates loss unfortunate

Cape Town - Chippa United spokesperson Luthando Zibeko said that the match against Orlando Pirates was a different turn out of events and didn’t go according to plan.

Zibeko spoke highly of the Chilli Boys despite the result as they lost 4-1 to the Buccaneers.

“It was an unfortunate game for us but this is football and it’s either you win or lose,” he told Sport24.

“It really didn’t go well but are we are really proud with our boys and what they gave out there on the field.

“Then we got the red card but we still kept our character no matter the circumstance."

He adds that United will aim to improve their defense and close every gap possible in the next matches, he can only hope that they are able to bounce back from the loss they experienced at Orlando stadium.

“We are now focusing on the next game and hope to bounce back, because that’s all we can do.

“We are aiming to double our efforts and improve in all areas.

“It will be difficult but it is easier that we will be playing at home next. Chippa plays as a unit and that’s what gets us through.

“We actually feel sorry for AmaTuks because we will be going in for the kill.

“We want to be a bigger club within the PSL and we will bounce back. This is not the end."

Chippa's next game is against the University of Pretoria on Wednesday, August 26.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
